The Best Ski Resorts on the East Coast, From New Hampshire to Maine. We'll be back to Topnotch in the summer and are very much looking forward to seeing the resort in August. Everything you need to know about Stowe Mountain Resort, a Private Group Activity in. Some remembered our names and there was ALWAYS a smile whenever we walked in. A majestic mountainside destination in Stowe, Vermont Topnotch Resort and Spa blends the gracious charm of a ski lodge with the luxurious amenities of a world-class resort.

They were all friendly, approachable, helpful and made us feel very, very welcome indeed. In terms of the staff, we found them, without exception, excellent. Seems that the hotel is missing a trick here. I spent the morning working in The Roost one day and was actually very surprised to see it not manned and there were no beverages on sale. I would think that if a barista style coffee outlet was installed at The Roost and one could buy coffees to go and maybe pastries/bakery goods then this would go down a storm. The one thing I would ask is that there was an opportunity to buy take out artisan style coffees. However The Flannel breakfast was excellent, and I enjoyed the Berry Parfait a lot.

We ate in both restaurants and enjoyed them, however The Roost pipped The Flannel to the post with it's food, and value price-point for us. As I say, I would have hoped these would be standard in the rooms. Top Notch Inn is conveniently located in the White Mountains in Gorham, New Hampshire. We also would have welcomed spa slippers in the room as we'd not bought flip flops with us - just boots (!) so struggled until we asked at the spa and the 'lent' us some to wear. The pool towels were a little skimpy and could have been more luxurious. A wonderful indoor pool and outdoor hot-tub which we enjoyed a lot. This is where the spa and one of the restaurants are located. I suspect if we'd been on the first floor it would have been a different story. The room was quiet, but I think that's because we were located on the top floor at the very end of the building so no passing traffic. We found the house-keeping generally very good, although patchy at times with things not always being replaced, and sometimes the cushions being re-arranged nicely and our shoes lined up to sometimes coming back to just the very bare minimum being done and no replacement items in the bathrooms etc. Topnotch Resort: Very Dog Friendly - See 1,296 traveler reviews, 363 candid photos, and great deals for Topnotch Resort at Tripadvisor.

With a small kitchen, it was comfortable and well equipped, although we did actually struggle to find enough storage for all of our clothes despite the huge size of the rooms, and they could each doo with another chest of drawers and bedside cabinets in which you can keep things would also be very welcome indeed. We stayed in a Moss Glen Suite, which we were told was the best in the house. We stayed at Topnotch for 10 nights just before Christmas.
